Lately, a conference under the name "Control Systems for asphalt mixes pavement" was held by Ibrahim Al-Hanaqtah & Sons Co.

This was prompted by recent scientific advances that are witnessed in the field of controlling leveling in asphalt mixes surfaces, and in order to keep abreast with the latest of such like advances. The company has taken up the lead by importing those systems which deal with the control of paving asphalt coatings - i.e Road Scan Systems - operating with laser beams, manufactured by the Dutch company : Road Ware. A new technology perceived as revolutionary in the method of paving asphalt coatings control.

An invitation was forwarded to the manufacturer's engineers in order to carry on with the installation of those systems on the existing equipments of the company; in addition to look, for tow consecutive days, over the implementation of the systems in one of the company underway projects, the displacement of Ghor Al Safi road-phase II, which connects the international industrial city of Aqaba with the Custom Center of Wadi Araba.

A briefing was presented by the engineers, about the operation of the systems, held at Murjan hall, MOVENPICK hotel in Aqaba governorate; between 12:00 noon time, and 14:30 p.m. Thursday, 5march, 2005. This was followed by a lunch in honor of the audience.
